Official
The Building Official enforces Connecticut Building Codes
on all new construction in town. This includes safety regulations
for construction workers. My duties normally include:
- Reviewing
plans for construction
- Issuing
permits
- Worksite
and property inspections
- Upholding
compliance with State Building Code
When
conflicts or problems arise, I try to help people find solutions
as well.
Safety is my main concern. If

Effective
9-1-2004, the State of Connecticut adopted the International
Residential Code for one and two family dwellings. Contractors
and homeowners are encouraged to stop by and pick up a handout
explaining significant changes from the previous codes.
